CANOPY
The CANOPY project redefines the city’s entrance by covering the motorway to finally reunite the city with its river. Conceived as a living hill, this organic architecture bridges the gap created by the motorway to create a fluid, green link to the riverbanks.
A veritable suspended ecosystem, the project acts as a carbon barrier on the city’s outskirts, filtering out pollution to protect the riverside neighbourhoods. CANOPY does more than simply occupy the space: it restores the landscape, transforming grey infrastructure into a protective green lung where nature and urban planning coexist in perfect symbiosis.
