The Pause

The traces of the past are expressed in this project through the existing brick and rubble facades on the courtyard side, which are highlighted to recall the old barn.

Like a volume set in the landscape, the foundation walls set back from the facades give the extension of the volume the impression of “floating” on the sloping ground towards the rear of the building. The terrace, also raised, overlooks the landscape.
